About Christopher Copeman For the last twenty years, Christopher Copeman, a retired teacher, educational writer and broadcaster, has been engaged in research into traditional Greek dances, especially in villages in Central and Western Lesvos. A knowledge of modern Greek enables him to talk with villagers about local dances and traditions. As a former educationalist, once a member of the Independent Schools Curriculum Committee, he has been particularly interested in the way children learn to dance without a teacher in traditional communities.
